Juliane, what are you currently working on at FormFactor?

I always have several irons in the fire. On the one hand, I am currently completing the move of our service information portal to a new platform. On the other hand, I am preparing an online training course that will inform our service staff about our newly released prober software.

What do you enjoy most about your work at FormFactor?

I enjoy working across departments and in a collaborative manner. In my research for instructions and training courses, I depend on many people. It is always a give and take. For me, the international service training courses are the icing on the cake. For this, I work in Japan or the USA once or twice a year.

What fascinates you about your job at FormFactor?

By working for a supplier in the semiconductor industry, you are always on the cutting edge. This gives you a good impression of what technology can do today, but also what it can’t do yet. Through the continuous further development of our products, I keep learning new things.

What fascinates me about my work is that as a software developer I also have to solve mechanical and physical problems.

Jens, what is your job at FormFactor?

I work as a Software Engineer on the further development of our machine software. I am responsible for many areas in the backend and frontend.

What do you enjoy most about your work at FormFactor?

I particularly enjoy working with our international colleagues and the wide range of tasks. The exchange with Application and Service Engineers who are in contact with customers allows me to develop and implement my own ideas for improvements or new products.

What is your personal FamilyFactor?

The work-life balance works very well. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a doctor’s appointment in the morning, picking up my children from daycare in the afternoon and occasional evening telephone conferences from home – the flexibility to schedule my working hours and the great acceptance of mobile working from supervisors make everyday life a lot easier for me.

My FutureFactor is the certainty of working in an industry that will continue to grow.

What is your job at FormFactor?

After starting as a mechatronics engineer 10 years ago, I switched to the test field two years later. Since then, over 100 wafer wafer probe stations have been set up, tested and prepared for customer requests. So you can say I am the quality control of all components in their entirety.

What fascinates you about your job at FormFactor?

What fascinates me most is the constantly evolving technologies and being one of the first to build, try and test new products for the semiconductor market.

What is your personal FutureFactor?

My FutureFactor is the certainty of working in an industry that will continue to grow.

All colleagues are super nice and you are immediately recognized as a full team member.

What is your job at FormFactor?

During my traineeship as an Industrial Clerk, I was able to get to know all kinds of departments and carry out department-specific tasks, such as invoice verification in accounting or inventory in the warehouse. All in all, the training is very multifaceted. Now I’m in production control, where I check orders for their accounting completeness, for example.

What do you particularly enjoy about your work at FormFactor?

Definitely the variety. You learn so many different things during the training period and grow with the tasks you are given. In addition, no order is like the other. There are always smaller or larger challenges that need to be overcome.

What is your personal feel-good factor?

Finding a traineeship in a rural area is unfortunately not that easy, as there are hardly any commercial training companies here. I didn’t want to have a long commute to work and now I live only two towns away. In addition, all colleagues are super nice and you are immediately recognized as a full team member.

In general, we do not cover travel expenses. However, if you have to travel a long way (e.g. for the first consultation in Dresden), we offer reimbursement of the costs for the journey by car at a rate of €0.30/kilometer or a second-class train ticket.
